CALGARY – Legislation enforcement officers have apprehended a person that they are saying was making an attempt to import 68 kilograms of medication into the nation.
The Built-in Border Enforcement Staff (IBET), RCMP, Calgary Police Service (CPS), and Canada Border Companies Company (CBSA) carried out an investigation into cross-border drug importation involving business transport automobiles.
On Oct. 13, officers seized 38 kg of cocaine and 30 kg of heroin.
CPS Appearing Superintendent of the Legal Operations and Intelligence Staff Melanie Oncescu praised the collaborative effort by legislation enforcement companies in making this drug seizure.
